dnf/yum
i believe this is an easy question but i am just not sure what to search on google to find the answer and i am not sure how to do it otherwise but what i would like to do is simple. i am using fedora for my pcs and had fedora as my server but i am having such issues with 27 i am switching to centos. centos uses yum and fedora uses dnf. basically i want when i type dnf in centos for it to just translate that to yum because every damn time i am installing something i type dnf... and then have to retype yum...

I believe dnf is in the epel repository. Enable epel, install dnf.

there is no dnf in the epel repository, at least not under yum install dnf or yum list "dnf*"...

DNF or `Dandified yum´ : is the next generation version of yum
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF?rd=Dnf CentOS 6 : Based on Fedora 12 → yum CentOS 7 : Based on Fedora 18, 19, 20 → yum CentOS 8 will have `dnf´. - |
Sorry, after a little more searching I discovered that it was removed from epel due to problems. Have you tried using an alias?
Use at your own risk. Don't know if it will break anything. https://centos.pkgs.org/7/puias-unsu...oarch.rpm.html |
oh yeah, i bet an alias would work. i am going to try that...
