Disk Driver Image


I have a driver image that is 1.47 Mb. How can I make this fit on a floppy. I have floppy disks that are 1.45Mb. Can you get floppy disks that are 1.47Mb.

You could try compressing it:
tar -czf driver.file compressed.tar.gz

Or you could ue split to make the file fit on multiple floppies.

Thank you for replying

I actually just finished gunzipping it but you were right if I wanted to fit it on one floppy I could go that way. The reason I need the image not zipped and on one floppy is because I need the linux installation cd to read the driver off of the disk so that it will recognize my raid controller.

Thanks for your help, any other ideas.

Perhaps you could burn it to CD?
