disk attached to builtin- raid controller


hi,

i attached a new disk on RHEL 5.2 on built-in raid-controller. but it do not displays on Linux. i checked it using

 [root@system root]fdisk -l


whereas its information in /etc/sysconfig/hwconfig is

Have you added it to your hardware RAID?
If you have not, you can't just plug in the drive. You need to declare it.

yes, i pluged it raid sata interface, and configured it via Raid menau.

Hi,

What does dmesg show? You created a new RAID with one disk? Or you added it to the original RAID and then I understand why you can't see a new disk.

Anyone else to help?
