Disabling screen / energy saver

All,

I disabled the screen+energy saver on my Mandrake 8.x and
Suse 7.2 boxes (i use KDE).

But the screen still goes black if I don't touch the box for
a while.

How do i keep the screen active at all time ?

check your bios settings. turn any power management features off.

It´s some function in the linux kernel. As far as i can remember you can pass some kernel information when lilo boots to turn it off.

I think it´s something like: apm=off

This will off course also turn other apm controls.
