Disable antialiasing in GTK2 apps

Is there an environment variable or something I can change to disable antialiasing in GTK2 programs? I don't want it gone permanently (i.e., I'm not looking to recompile without support for it), I just want to disable it for a brief period of time to see the difference and compare them.
