Difference between Live CD and installing on hard drive

Hi. I was just wondering, would there be any difference between a live-cd installed on hard disk and any other distro for linux (like Debian or Red Hat) that was always meant for hard disk? Thanks for your time.

No difference to speak of. That is actually a pretty slick way of installing Linux, especially if you have remastered it to your tastes.

Live CD contains the most famous software (in the CD creator opinion) when standard distro contains all the software that is widely used (you can choose).
That's all. Live CD limit your choice and standard distro give you variety choice but that method can make you confuse.
