.diff and rpm...problem!!!


hi...help me please..

how can i extract files from rpm packages?
i've downloaded this: samba-2.2.5-8.IPv6.20020824.src.rpm
and then i don't know how to do the rest of it...

also this : samba-2.2.5+IPv6-20020824.diff
what is diff?and what should i do?

anyone can help me what to do?the main point is i want to know how rpm works and what is .diff?

if you don't know why you have a diff file, then you don't need it. you do not want to use src.rpms. only use i386.rpm, i586.rpm or i686.rpm.
