Die Caps lock Die!
Ok, so I've hated capslock for a while now and one of the first things I learned how to do was how to kill caps lock in linux. It was in the XFree86conf file but with Fedora Core 2 it's now xorg.conf, but other than that it's still just the same. Except that uncommenting the line
Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps" and it does nothing.. caps is still on. So I tried uncommenting Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:swapcaps" Nothing still. Anybody else have this problem? |
Ok found it. In gnome, theres a keyboard command under preferences (gnome-keyboard-properties) with a layout options tab that allows you to 'Make CapsLock an additional Control' (under the Control Key Position group).
