device driver for hard disk

I am trying to install red hat advance server RHEL 3 on my PC. But in the begining it says No hard drive found on this computer specific driver for your harddisk.How do i check what kind of hard drive is that and what driver i need for it.I am already running windows on it and harddrive is working there.I have bunch of drivers in device driver list in linux installation but i dont know which one to choose.And if i dont have the one i need how do i put new one in device driver list
