/dev/usb/lp0 disappears!!

Hi there! I have the weirdest thing in all the years I've been using Linux.

I have an HP PSC 1310 All-in-One printer configured with hplip and cups at /dev/usb/lp0

The printer works quite ok (prints in green, but need to check if there black ink left), but the strange thing is that when I use the scanner with Xsane, after using it, the print simply dissapears from the PC.

It's already turned on and pluged in. /dev/usb/lp0 is gone.

How that can be? Can anyone provide a solution to this?

Thanks in advance
