Hello again. I do have my books but they don't explain this.
I have my files set up in my /dev like this
-rw-r--r-- root users time audio
-rw-r--r-- root users time audio1
-rw-r--r-- root users time dsp
-rw-r--r-- root users time dsp1
-rw-r--r-- root users time mixer
-rw-r--r-- root users time mixer1
-rw-r--r-- root users time sequencer
All of that is set up for my sound to play x11amp
after this is set up I take and run startx as root and run x11amp to get the config file. but when I try to copy the config files to the /home/users directory it resets my dev/ to the original
-rw------ the user who copied
after that I spend a lot of time trying to get the sound to work
Can anyone tell me how to copy the .x11amp/config to other users and run x11amp without changing the
/dev/audio1
/devaudio
/dev/dsp1
/dev/dsp
/dev/mixer1
/dev/ mixer1
dev/sequencer
This works for the file I am copying but that after I run the X11Amp then the file permissions change on my dsp, mixer, audio and sequencer files. That is my main concern is why is that changing like that and how do I stop it.
