/dev/floppy file replacement

I deleted my /dev/floppy file by mistake (well overwrote it actually.)

Anyone know where I can find this file to install it again on my redhat 9 system?

I know I can use fd0, etc, but is it the same exact file? Should I just cp it into the file name floppy? Or are they different?

Thanks in advance for any help,

-Q

/dev/fd0 is a device node.
Usually /dev/floppy is a symbolic link to /dev/fd0, so simply re-create that link:

cd /dev
ln -s fd0 floppy
