desktop icon or menu shortcut for phoenix?
Can anyone help me how to set up either a desktop icon, or shortcut in menu for phoenix. I downloaded it and have to start it in a terminal everytime.
Thanks in hope and anticipation Rose :) |
if from the terminal you have to type
phoenix, you can type which phoenix, and the full path will be shown. right click on the desktop, create new, link to application, then find your app. |
You want it on the Gnome panel? Right click on the panel, add a launcher for it.

Darn - I haven't changed my profile, and didn't say it is lycoris desktopLX/amethyst.
I wanted to try it out, but messed up the install and lost RedHat! However for my purposes lycoris is good so far. Will try the above and thanks Rose |
Think I didn't do the process correctly!
The icon has this under it - %2fusr%2fbin%2fphoenix and when I try to rename or start by clicking on it I get "Service /home/rose/Desktop%2f..... is malformatted." I'm assuming I entered info incorrectly. I suppose there's a "HOWTO" somewhere - will take a look. |
