I just install opera browser opera as root and it works. I do not see the icon for opera browser in the program menu.
can anyone please tell me howto make it available to every user in the system.
go to terminal as SU
type chmod a+x /whereever/the file/is hit enter
this gives everyone execute permission for the file
in Mandrake right click on the desktop and choose "create link to application"
click on the gear icon and choose a new icon (the opera browser has them in it's folder) type in a name (Opera)
select the execute tab and type in the path to the execute file
example /usr/bin/opera-i686-yada_yada/opera
click OK and voila you have a desktop short cut
