Delilinux: Can't configure serial mouse

I have a problem configuring my serial mouse in delilinux. The mouse is a Microsoft IntelliMouse. It says IntelliMouse 1.1A on it. No matter what protocol I select, it still doesnt work. The mouse device is set to "/dev/mouse". I tried selecting other devices too like, "/dev/tty0, /dev/tty1" and stuff, but I still can't get the mouse to work. I only have one serial port and it's used by this mouse. The mouse works fine with RedHat 9, Mandrake 9.2 and Windows. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Firts of all check if the simbolik link :

# ls -l /dev/mouse

If it is not Ok remove and make a corect one, depending where your mouse is conecctet:

# rm /dev/mouse

# ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/mouse

or

# ln -s /dev/ttyS1 / dev/mouse

/* On Xfrre86 do it: */
/* Mouse IntelliMouse */

Option "Protocol" "IntelliMouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Buttons" "5"

I can't find a file called "XFree86", like I do in my Mandrake system. But there is a file called "xf86config". But I can't open it. I get an error saying "This file contained NULs. They've been changed to \x80 chars. Then when I press enter, I see a screen full of garbage charactors. If there is a file called XFree86 somewhere in the system, is there any way to look for it? XFree86Config file is located in /usr/X11R6/bin directory.

The Xfree86 configuration is a text file and most be at:

/etc/X11/XF86Config

$ find / -name XF86Config

about the simbolik link /dev/mouse

pay attention , including case

/dev/ttyS0 or /de/ttyS1 and not tty0

regards,

Thanks a lot... finally I got the mouse working. All I have to do now is open up the case of that 7 year old baby and find out what kind of video card it has. All I know is it has 512kb memory. Thanks a lot again, the mouse is done.
