deleting /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358/drivers
Hi,
I installed fedora core 2 wchic came with linux-2.6.5-1.358 kernel, then I compiled linux-2.6.7 kernel from source and that is the kernel I am booting to regularly. The directory in the subject line consumes 93M which I would like to claim back, I dont want any troubles now, is it safe to rm -rf /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358/drivers Thanks |
Infact the /usr/src/linux-2.6.5-1.358 directory is 219M, I would like to reclaim all of that if possible

deleting the /usr/src//linux-2.6.5-1.358 directory will have no effect on the system... It just the source. It will even still boot the 2.6.5 kernel if you wanted to, but it's likely you'll be sticking with the new kernel - or 2.6.8.1 :)
