deleting recent files


I use gnome 2.2 and i want to delete recent files from gnome menuand i don't know how.

I'm not sure where this is kept but most likely its a setting in the .gnome configuration directory in your users home directory.

I search in that directory but i can't find it i have also search in:

.gnome2/
.gnome2_private/
