Deleted Folder

Hi,

I deleted a folder in my linux machine (did rm -rf) and I am trying to see if I can recover it.

I googled and found a lot of undelete tools but they all want me to unmount my drive.

I have a couple of questions
1) How can I list/see all my hard drives
2) If I have only one drive I cannot unmount it right? Is there any other way to recover the directory.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks
Vish

become root, type 'fdisk -l'

Download and burn a LiveCD like Knoppix or use a rescue CD. If you have a Linux system running from CD, you can operate on your drive.

try a
pico /etc/fstab to see all your drives(ie if they have been detected and set up properly)

maybe u could try a live cd like knoppix so that u can unmount ure drive..
what distro do u use?
