Woops

in konqueror, i right clicked on a directory and clicked delete. instead of trash, i know there is most probably now way, but is there a way to get it back?

It's not in the trash, and doing an undo doesn't work...

I know it's stupid, but that was some valuable crap...

If it was not much time ago, and the box hasn't seen that much processes since, try using "recover" or the Midnight Commander's (mc) undelete function.

if its ext2 filesystem then u can recover it using 'mc' else ............

If you haven't already given it a try, maybe try midnight commander to undelete it :D

No, just kidding guys...

You also might wanna read this page:

But it's very in-depth, you are warned ;)

Cool

Hmmpf. Stupid no one here is lucid enough to mention you can also use mc, or "Midnight Commander" to undelete files...

If you're off your rocker, one short of a dozen, masochistic or like doing forensics (next to using mc) you can also tru "dd" an image and use TCT's unrm on it, tho that's not for the faint hearted.

Btw, did anyone mention the "recover" app?
