I was wondering if someone could tell me how to delete the trashcan in slack?

I think you can just delete it with rm -rf /path/to/file as root. Be really careful though cause rm -rf / will delete your whole install! The automatic removing to the trash can when you delete a file is probably an alias. You can probably find that in your ~/.bash_profile file.
