delete raid1


i have configured raid level 1 and installed rh 7.3. The system is a dual processor xeon machine with two hot swappable scsi harddisk( 36 gb ). now i have to delete raid 1 and use the second hardisk for storing data. how can i do it

How did configure the RAID?

If it was inside the OS then trashing the OS should do it

If it's a hardware RAID then you have to do this either from the BIOS of the card or the software config utility for the card.

If you did use software raid, then trash your raidtab file. Also set the 2nd disk to faulty on all raid partitions, remove them from the raid, and reformat that disk. Then you *should* be able to store data on there. I say "should" because I have never done this but I'm sure this should work.
