Hi there!

I've been running debian sarge in my server for more than a year. Recently i noticed that i seem to be unable to connect to any irc server. I've used BitchX, irssi-text ... and even installed cgiirc (web based irc). The reason is allways the same ... connection refused.:

refused]

The cgiirc works fine till the time he actually connects do the server....after that he just says :

*** Access Denied: No connections allowed

Telneting to the server gives the same output:

jack@monolith:~$ telnet eu.undernet.org 6667
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

I've obviusly tried different irc servers... ports 6668, 6666... and the strange thins is that some days ago i would use irc with no problems at all. Since then, the only thing i did on the server was running apt-update and then apt-upgrade.

I would apreciate some help
