Debian 7.3.0 (3.2.0-4-amd64) to 1000Hz

Hi!

I would like to know if it is possible to change kernel Hz to 1000 with only just modify /boot/config-3.2.0-4-amd64 and make a restart, or do I really need to recompile the kernel to take it effect?

If someone can help with answer to this, I would appreciate it!

You have to recompile the kernel, if that is so, then there are a lot more things that you could do than just change one little detail.

Stock kernels are very generic and there are lots of things on it that your machine will never use, like drivers, it is a very good idea to dry out the kernel and make it really "slim" to fit with just what your machine really have.

Regards.
