Deadlock, cdrecord/cdrdao, SCSI emu issue?

Hi,
I have these sporadic deadlocks while burning cd's and dvd's when using cdrecord and cdrdao. (gowisofs works without a hitch for some reason, maybe just a coincidence?) I can burn several cd's before i get a deadlock, or not even get through the OPC, before i have to do a hard reboot. Looks random. The compleate lockups might suggest that there is a issue with the SCSI emulation(?)
I've tried searching but i cant seem to find anyone with simmilar problems.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

Maybe problem with the kernel, because it is a 'test' version.
Check if any other program like autorun is running. I had problems similar to this and after i killed autorun, everything worked smooth.
