Question databases -user friendly ones

hello,

Is there any user friendly database software out there for Linux?

I told this one user to install MySQL but he's a regular Windows XP, has dial up AOL type of guy.

He's looking for something like "FileMaker for Linux".

I suggested Adabas but it's not quite the mother of all user friendly databases for linux.

any ideas?

thanks,

Try GUI to MySQL (there's a link on www.mysql.org). I've never tried it but it looks like a nice solution.

For small personal databases you may use gaby. But I don't know, if it scales well, as does not use one of the big dbms as backend.
see http://www.theridion.com/gaby/
