database for linux and microsoft

I need to create a database that is usable for people using microsoft access. I would like to create it useing Open Office, ODBC, MySQL or Postgresql, Since I'm new to Databases, I don't know if this will be compatable with M.S. Access. I would also like to know if I could burn this to disk (it will be a static database) and access it from there.

If you use PostgreSQL you can have Access
access is with ODBC.

If you mean compatible files then there's now
way ...

Cheers,
