Database

I could really use a database like mysql, but don't know how to write scripts yet. Anyone know of one for redhat 6.2 or a gnome thing that doesn't require me to write a script? I'm having to use gnumeric for my data.

not sure why you need database for. If you have some calculations in gnumeric, you don't need to bother with mySQL

In general most common use of mySQL is through website with php so goto php.net, and mysql.com

I use gnumeric for my own data input and manipulation, not for calculations. It's better than just inputing data in joe. I'd like a better program for that purpose. I'd have to get a website and do that way? Seems there would be something I could just install on my own system that would work to manipulate and store data other than editors..

I remember seing some progie to manipulate with mySQL, but can't remember the name. Do some search on it
