Dangers with lm-sensors?

I tried to setup my lm-sensors. During the setup I was warned of possible dangers. Because I screwed up the setup process, I was wondering what the dangers were. should I try to remove the remnants of the lm-sensors software?

My understanding is that the lmp-sensors setup software prpbes several buses. Badly confoigured or old devices on the buses sometimes don't react well to probes (because it's just test instructions). I believe that removing the software will always be safe.
