Damn small linux
After downloading and being impressed by the damn small linux. Would it be possible to get NTFS drivers for this distro. A idea came to me that if this was possible and fairly easy to implement the disk could be a good file recovery tool when windows fails (which seems to happen about every 6 months) requiring a complete format. The only way that I have found to save files is to install another copy of XP over the origninal install which is time consuming. But if I had the damn small linux with the ability to read NTFS i could copy essential files (usually uni work) to a floppy in a short period of time (far less time than re-installing windows).

You can. But would it matter since writing to a NTFS disk is still a nono? The eaiser alternative is to convert the windows disk to fat32.

NTFS is actually supported by the kernel, if it doesn't support initially, a simple recompile can fix this.

But also like mentioned above, write access to NTFS is dangerous, it can destroy your whole drive or filesystem.
