OK, i appreciate DSL is what it says on the tin, very small, and is such for a reason.. However i would like to get some sort of VNCserver on :0 so i can remote desktop. from the big wide world.

I have enabled apt-get on DSL, and got VNserver installed however this won't open display 0, so a bit of googling gets me to x11vnc..

DSL However seems to be missing a heck of a lot of libraries, and old versions of stuff..

So i was wondering if anyone has had any experience of getting a VNC :0 on Damm small linux so i can hse a headless system?

ok, most of the webforums tell you to post into /hom/<user>/.vnc/xstartup

On DSL this doesn't work, however you can post

fluxbox &


into /etc/X11/Xsession

they type in vncserver

And hey presto, fluxbox in VNCViewer
