Custom Linux Based Application & Licencing

Hello linux world,
I am planning to create a linux based application. Actualy to boot the kernel, and then to run the application without any window manager.
How can i sell this full system (linux kernel, application) without the need to provide the source code of my application, or to have any licence isues)?
Thank you!

if you are using the kernel, you are obliged to provide the source code. It doesn't have to be easy to get, but if asked for it, you must provide it.

I understand if i modify the actual kernel to provide the source. But this is applied both to my application? I mean the application i will startup after kernel boot.
Also thank you for your quick responses!

As I understand it it depends what your application is doing, what other software it uses. If you're pulling in GPL code directly, then I believe you need to fully disclose it, but if you're using libraries covered by, for example, LGPL instead, there are lower levels of requirement when you are free to keep the source to yourself. Basically just be aware of what you directly interact with, and what license those elements carry. Merely being ON linux doesn't mean you need to disclose the code, as if that were the case, no major commercial developer would really go near it.

This article is very sandal wearer biased and comes from a different angle, but gives a reasonable picture of some of the issues involved - http://www.gnu.org/licenses/why-not-lgpl.html
