Question Current maintainers?


Is there a current/new maintainers for the projects:

1. cramfs filesystem
2. firmware loader

I would say that file <Linux kernel source path>/MAINTAINERS should be authoritative source of such information. It says "orphan" both times.

Yup i have read this MAINTAINERS file, the two projects are orphan, but I am not sure if it is true until now.. I only read it in a 2.6.10 kernel source codes

I checked 2.6.21 source before posting, so you can be relatively sure.

http://lxr.linux.no/source/MAINTAINERS

LXR usually has medium-fresh Linux source.

ah I see.. so they are still both orphan.. are they finished already? I wonder how can I help on those projects...

About firmware loader - it seems to me that some WiFi drivers both work and load firmware using udev, so it must be working now. About CRAMFS - I don't know. I guess you can claim "Odd fixes" maintainership if you want to improve something. If anyone will make more changes than you, it'll never be late to offer him overtake this status..
