cups-client and /etc/printcap

Greetings,

I have a few FC5 boxes running as cups clients (cupsd is NOT running) to a RH8 server. The FC5 boxes need to use the Citrix ICAClient, which looks to /etc/printcap for available printers. Because cupsd is not running, that file is empty. My question is, would I be potentially screwing anything up by having a populated printcap on a cups client machine?

TIA

Rod

Well, after running for a couple of weeks, I'd say there is no problem having a populated printcap file on a cups-client machine
