CUPS - access denied

I got some serious trouble with configuring CUPS.. the server allows me to connect without problems to the webb interface. But as soon I try to ie add a printer it asks for a password. What password?! I've looked in the documentation and in the configfiles but there seemes to be no directive which affects password/username.

The server accept connections but not a single password/username. I've tried ie the system's root account and passsword but it didn't work. Where do I tell it what password remroot should use?

regards,
Cyth

Try uncommenting the line in /etc/cups/cups.conf that says SystemGroup sys. Then the root user/password should take care of it.
