cset C api

Hi
Can't seem to be able to find any reference to C APIs, for equivalent cset functionalities. Would appreciate any pointers.
Cheers,

Which particular cset functionalities are you looking for?

Hi
Isolate a given cpu, add and remove tasks, i.e., similar to set, shield and proc.
Cheers,

Hi,

Perhaps a little bit more detail on this. Linux does not have tasks, therefore are you referring to the OS Linux?

My original impression was that you were looking for environment and terminal attributes because my former knowledge of cset was along those lines.

While "set" is a typical command line function, I'm not familiar with shield, but wonder if you mean related to PAM? Proc is related to the /proc file system I believe. If you obtain a man page on proc you'll note that there are numerous C library function references within that page.

Do you know if you are looking to manage threads or processes? I happen to have written a number of Linux application blogs about process architecture, but not threads therefore my question about what exactly you are trying to manage or monitor here.

Hi
Thank you for your interest. The main goal is to be able to, from within an application, to isolate cpus, and migrate processes or threads, dynamically.
Cheers,
