Cryptic error messages

On shutdown I see the following messages:
rpc.rstatd forgot to set AF_INET in udp sendmail. Fix it!!
neighbor table overflow.

How do I fix this?
The system seems to be working fine... but...
OBTW, what's a neighbor table? Can't find that in the docs.

Unhappy Well, no help.
I finally saved all my files and re-loaded Linux. It got rid of the problem. Still have no idea
what those messages meant, though.

I get a similar message and this is what Caldera said about it.
