crontab over scp on bash
Hi,
I've got completely stuck...
Only access I have to server is via SSH - I'm using WinSCP3...
So I open a terminal window to edit the crontab entry
crontab -e
but this hangs as I cannot use commands that require user input...
so
crontab 27 4 * * * /var/www/html/lingfield/forums/Database/lingfield_backup.sh
and this errors with no such filename or directory
so...
I guess the next step is to create some vi script to edit the crontab entry...
and do
crontab -e < somescript.vi
but all I try fails (I don't know vi very well...) with
<<
/var/www/html/lingfield/forums/Database$ crontab -e < crontabsrc.txt
