Cron job question

I have script that sends an email. I setup cron job with that script as follows.

#crontab -e
added as following to run every 5mins.
*/5 0 * * * /usr/local/bin/portmon

I checked cron is running. But I'm not getting any emails as I get it when I ran manually. Any ideas

Cron has a limited PATH
Make sure to provide the whole path to all the commands in the script.
The owner of the cron, should recieve a mail, if cron has problems.
