Unhappy Creating a CD rom link in RH9

My RH9 keeps being stupid and it wont let me mount my cd rom or my burner, this error pops up every single time.

Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom,
or too many mounted file systems

I have no idea what in gods name its talking about. Anyone have an answer?

If that is an audio cd, it won't mount. You play those rather than mounting them.
