The only way to compare CPU performance is to run a benchmark, with the machine you want to use and the applications you need. In my personal opinion, generic benchmarks are crap.
The problem is I don't have the capitol to buy several CPUs and benchmark them. Is there any other solution to find out the best cpu at a point in time?
