Angry Couldn't Open Audio !!!

I have RH8 distro. I used to listen music with XMMS. It runs correctly but you have to click on next song everytime. Is there a way that i could play it, continuosly, without making it manually everytime each song stops ??

There's another thing i would like to know. When I stopped XMMS and run vlc or mplayer and then run again XMMS it does not run. There's a mesagge "Check that sound card is not being used by another app." --> even if they are already closed.

What should i do? How can i check if it's being used by anothwer app?

1. Make a playlist, check the "PL" button in XMMS.

2. Try "fuser /dev/ds*", that should show all the DSP devices, and the PID's if any are used. Use "ps" and find the process that corresponds with the PID, if it's not a user app, then I'm sure it's a sound deamon. If not using /dev/dsp* check the output devices from the Mplayer or XMMS config.
