Finch :
Seems, there is no .gntrc by default.
You can copy the example from http://linux.die.net/man/1/finch
.. and edit to your favorite settings.
The other config files : /home/'user'/.purple/
.....
to remap the ALT+N for a working window-next isnt working unfortunately
