Could few perso tell me how to burn CD?

Well I`m using a CD-R/RW panasonic, one person installed for me three burner.
1 GCombust
2 Gnome-toaster 3 X-CD roast

I just let you know I`m learning linux but I know how to burn CD on Windows 98,2000....!
The way I burn cd on windows,is like in LINUX?
If so then is it very easy.

It's the same. The only difference is that Linux burners don't hide an option to burn an iso image (some Windows burners do).

Usually the help files for the application you are using can be helpful, especially some that have many features and options.

I like xcdroast, though it's a little confusing to use for the beginner.

Yes it can be, Once you figure it out it makes sense. But you have to do some playing with it to figure out how to make the image. It works great though.

You can always type 'man mkisofs' and then 'man cdrecord' and learn how to do things without a GUI. It's not that hard. Go on to google.com and type in cdrecord tutorial or and mkisofs. The reason I went to Linux was to start learning 'how' to do things via commands rather than simply clicking a button and have the program do everything for me.

PEACE :)

There is more...!!

Is ther more ANSWER????

DavidPhillips 08-20-2002 06:42 PM

Sure, It depends on your preference and maybe what you have installed already. Just decide which program to use and learn it.

Most of them come with docs, or you could ask more specific questions on a certain one, someone that uses it could answer.
