corrupted iso

Excuse me!!!
Today I have finished downloading Gnoppix RC2 iso. When I checked its md5sum, they are different. I am tired. I already downloaded it once before. And before it, I have downloaded another iso and their md5sum are all different. So I try to burn it. Boot. I got warning and some error message. The error message was funny:

Error: Only one processor found

Hey, what do you expect from my computer??? Ok, maybe it is Gnoppix issue.

Beside that, I can play with Gnoppix desktop. So how come??? The md5sum is different but I can play Gnoppix in my computer box.

Another question. For 5 iso that I downloaded, only one was perfect. How can I prevent corrupted download? I use cable connection. Stable but not very fast. It's about 12 KB/s. So it tooks about 20 hours to download 600+ MB. Because of this, there were a lot of resume, pause action from me. Could this be a reason for my corrupted download?

I think another idea to prevent this problem. To use bittorrent. I never use it before. What do you think, guyz?

The "only one processor" is a joke, that still works ;-)

md5 shows you even the smallest difference, if a jpg has a pixel with a wrong color, you will not notice it, but if it is in a program like the boot loader it's deadly !

600MB with 12KB/s, well every stop and go is a little risk... Can't you ask somebdy at work/school for that?

And try to make downloads in binary-mode (ftp). ASCII works, but not through all computers in the internet.
