Coreboot AKA LinuxBIOS

I recently bought a issue of Linux journal and in one of the adverts for subscribing I saw a issue that delt with coreboot. I was intrigued and started to look it up. I haven't yet been able to look around on there web site since my job blocks there page for some unknown reason, but it got me wondering if any of you guys have ever played with it and if so what successes you had?
