copy pasting from X app to vim

I want to copy a URL from firefox and paste into gvim. Does anyone know how to do this?

I did cat >> file.html << "EOF" and that worked but that's a pita, there's gotta be an easier way. Might as well open gedit or something and do it that way, but I like gvim much better.

Just highlight the URL in Firefox, then middle-click the mouse within g/vim.

It works for me.

hm... that doesn't work, gvim gives me "nothing in register"

OK... this was easier than I though, I just used the graphical icon to paste. Guess I should stop looking over the complete obvious
