convert photos, dont want to keep proportions

I have a few hundred some photos im trying to resize to a specific size to fit in a template and instead of doing each one at a time with photoshop (how I started) thought I just script it. I got the script working cept one problem I cant figure out how to convert a given size photo to exactly 605x351.. they always keep the same proportions.. I want it to shrink/stretch so the picture is exactly that size.

Can convert even do this? I tried many of the options extent, resize, size, resample, scale, geometry, sample .. all keep the proportions so the photos come out to like 580x351 or just cuts a 605x351 square out of the picture...

You speak of the "convert" that is part of ImageMagick?? Or something that can be installed separately?
