convert chinese characters -> pinyin
 

I'm wondering what is the way, especially in php, but any command line command will do, to convert a chinese character into pinyin.

When you enter chinese, you can do it in pinyin if you have the scim smart pinyin input method. So, there must be a way to change it back.
