Convering keymaps from console to kde - is this possible?


Hello.
I have a simple question , which is already posted in the title.
Is in possible to convert konsole-keymaps into kde-keymaps?
THX in advance!

Do you mean

Code:
xmodmap -pke
for the "console keymap"? If that one is loaded in a login script (which is usually done), then it is the same as in your desktop environment. If your keyboard is mapped differently in KDE than in the console, then I think your map is not loaded. Just for reference, what do you mean when you say "KDE keymap"?

Yes, The xmodmap in KDE is

a little strange for the german layout.
I`m running backtrack2 final and when i choose german layout inside kde, then i have no euro sign, no pipe, and some other signs are also missing. ( Althoug I know how to check for keycodes with xev and midify the xmodmap to load the right mapping, and so on).
In kde I open a xterm and then I can see the missing signs ;-).
If this happens inside other applications of kde, i have not tested but usually it has to happen.
