how do i create shortcut keys in linux console. say when i press F5 in console my system should reboot

first off, I don't know.
Secondly - read the keyboard Howto's, they should be included with your distro. If not just Google "linux howtos" or go to www.linuxdoc.org. The man pages might help too. I don't doubt that there is a way...i bet it's in the keymap options. If that doesn't help, reply here and maybe i can find it myself. sounds like a fun thing to learn.
